the past is always present

Photographer Irina Werning has great photo project on her site entitled:  Back To the Future.

It’s pretty much what you see above, the reenactment of old childhood photos.  You look at some of them and think “man, did we even change at all?”  (beyond the vertically obvious.)

Perhaps this is where I wax poetically about the cylindrical nature of time…or… the memory of image and afterimage…or even…..the body’s ability to recognize the variances temporal displacements caused by flash photography……..

of course not, i’ll shut up and tell you look at the pictures…….

    indeed, a lovely concept. on a side note, in the age of the digital camera, have you noticed how many housewives have become photographers…
