alternative pets (not animals who like smashing pumpkins….)

Great article in the new National Geographic about animal domestication….

I like reading about the domestication phenotype, the way that animals physical characteristics can change in response to their breeding:  floppy ears, fur patterns, etc…….basically how an animal goes from wild to domestic on a genetic level…..

so if you like information about genetic research this might be up your alley….

also of note: cats domesticated THEMSELVES….they were coming around to eat rats, we had nothing to do with it…….how very cat-like……..
